Circus Festival OU

In June 2026, Oulu will pulse with contemporary circus as the Circus Festival OU is held for the first time. The festival will spread from street circus to a circus tent, and from family programs to experimental evening club performances. Events will take place in the streets of Oulu’s city center, at the Valve Cultural Centre, and in a festival village being built in Hiukkavaara.
This community-driven event makes contemporary circus a visible part of the city’s cultural life and brings high-quality international programming within everyone’s reach.
The festival is produced by an alliance of Finnish circus artists and collectives, including Arctic Ensemble, Lumo Company, Tip Top Walkers, and Merri Heikkilä.

The event is part of the Oulu26 cultural program.
